Delete your RiseItSocial account

For the RiseItSocial website (riseitsocial.com) and the RiseItSocial Android and iOS apps.

Delete it yourself

1. Sign in at riseitsocial.com or in the RiseItSocial app.
2. Open your Profile and tap Edit profile.
3. Scroll down, tap Delete my account, enter your password (or your username, if you signed up with Google) and confirm.

Deletion happens immediately. Before deleting, you can use Download my data in the same screen to keep a copy.

Can't sign in?

Email srikantkumar15@gmail.com from the email address on your account with the subject "Delete my RiseItSocial account" and your username. We will confirm and delete it within 15 days.

Delete some of your data, keep your account

• Posts, replies, photos and videos: open the post, tap the ⋯ menu and choose Delete. The post and its files are removed.
• Profile details (photo, bio, website, location fields): edit or clear them in Profile → Edit profile.
• Support for an issue: tap Supporting on the issue to withdraw it.
• For anything else, email us at the address above with what you want deleted; we reply within 15 days.

What is deleted when you delete your account

• Your account, profile (name, username, email, password, photo, bio, location fields) and login sessions.
• Your posts, replies, photos and videos, reactions, follows, bookmarks, messages and notifications. Uploaded files are removed from our servers.

What is kept

• Issues and campaigns you started, communities you created and official status updates stay public because other citizens rely on them, but they are shown as "Deleted user" and issues become anonymous.
• Records the law requires us to keep (for example billing records of paid Pages) are kept for the period the law sets.
• Database backups are overwritten on a rolling basis, within 30 days.
