Terms of Service
Last updated: [DATE] · Operated by [COMPANY LEGAL NAME], [REGISTERED ADDRESS], India.
1. Using RiseItSocial
By creating an account you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy and the Community Guidelines below. You must be 18 or older and give accurate information. You are responsible for activity on your account; keep your password safe.
2. Your content
You own what you post. You give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, show and distribute it on RiseItSocial so the service can work (for example, showing your post in feeds and sending an issue to the officials you choose). Public content can be seen and shared by anyone. Only post what you have the right to share.
3. Community Guidelines
- Criticise policies and actions, not people. No harassment, threats, hate speech or incitement to violence.
- No sharing of anyone's private information (phone numbers, addresses, ID documents) or intimate images.
- Label opinions, satire and unverified allegations clearly. Do not present accusations against private individuals as facts.
- No misinformation that can cause harm, including false election information.
- No impersonation, fake accounts, spam or coordinated fake engagement.
- No sexual content, child sexual abuse material, or content that is unlawful in India. AI-generated or edited media that looks real must be labelled.
4. Moderation and appeals
Anyone can report content. Moderators may hide content or restrict accounts that break these Terms or the law, and we act on lawful orders from courts and the government within the time the law requires. When we hide your content we tell you why, and you can appeal from the notification. We apply the same rules to every party, government, candidate and ideology.
5. Officials, Pages and verification
Verified badges confirm identity or office; they are never sold. Pages for parties, leaders and media are paid, at the same published price for everyone. Paying for a Page does not buy a verified badge, ranking or reach. Pages must follow election law, including the Model Code of Conduct and the silence period before polls.
6. Ads
Sponsored posts are always labelled. We do not accept political, election, alcohol, tobacco, gambling, adult, weapons, crypto-scheme or misleading health ads. Advertisers are responsible for their ads and the pages they link to.
7. Payments
Pages, live-session minutes and ads are purchased on the RiseItSocial website, not inside the apps. Prices, taxes (GST) and refunds are set out in the invoice or agreement for each purchase. [LAWYER: refund policy.]
8. Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Delete my account, or by emailing [SUPPORT EMAIL] from the address on your account. We may suspend or close accounts that seriously or repeatedly break these Terms.
9. Disclaimers and liability
RiseItSocial is an intermediary: content is created by users, not by us, and we do not guarantee that any issue will be resolved or any official will respond. The service is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. [LAWYER: review.]
10. Law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in [CITY], [STATE] have jurisdiction.
11. Grievance Officer
In line with the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021:
[NAME], Grievance Officer · [EMAIL] · [PHONE] · [POSTAL ADDRESS]
Working hours: [DAYS, HOURS]. We acknowledge complaints within 24 hours and resolve them within 15 days. If you are not satisfied, you may appeal to the Grievance Appellate Committee (gac.gov.in).
